se realizo el sorteo para la segunda ronda de la Carling Cup donde entraron algunos equipos de la premier league ingresaron al sorteo,pero hoy también se jugo un partido correspondiente a la primera ronda donde el Sheffield Wednesday enfrentaba al Blackpool, en un partido que terminaría 0-0 y que en los penaltis el Sheffield se llevaría la clasificación.
