Hoy se jugo la gran mayoría de los partidos de la 1ra Ronda, como todas las competiciones inglesas emocionantes y llenas de sorpresas, la mas importante de ellas es el Victoria del recién ascendido a League One el Rochdale que gano en Oakwell Stadium al Barnsley que sigue de capa caída y el cual se aproxima a una crisis pues su inicio de temporada no es el mas alentador, otra sorpresa muy grata para mi por el cariño que le tengo al Bradford City es su victoria ante el Siempre complicado Nottingham Forest, el Bradford ante 5175 espectadores en Valley Parade dio vuelta a un partido complicado y logro llevarlo al extra time y allí lo gano con un golazo en el minuto 100, cabe rescatar la afición del nottingham Forest que ha pesar de ser martes laboral llego en masa para ver este partido pues asistieron 600 hinchas visitantes lastima la derrota. pero las sorpresas no paran hay pues el otro equipo de la ciudad de Nottingham logro una victoria en Home park ante un complicado playmouth Argyle por la mínima diferencia.
Se jugaron varios partidos épicos y uno de ellos fue la victoria del Leicester City al Macclesfield Town en un partido lleno de goles pues concluyo 4-3, el Macclesfield Town hizo todo lo correcto para no perder pero luego de ir atrás todo el partido solo quedo a un gol de la hazaña pero al final victoria para un Leicester que necesita recuperar la confianza después de su tropiezo en Championship. otro partido epico fue la hazaña del Shrewsbury Town que logro una remontada historia al iniciar perdiendo 0-3 ante el Charlton pero después de esto se convirtieron en un león como el de su escudo y acabaron al Charlton anotandole 4 goles y elimandolo de la Carling Cup
